Saturated fat: Is it really that bad?

If you’re like me, you’re constantly hearing, reading and seeing information about the fat in our foods.  From Saturated and Trans fat, to monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat, keeping up with what’s good and what’s bad can seem like a losing battle.  Maybe a decoder ring would help us as we work our way through the supermarket aisles.

The truth is, there is a lot of information out there.  And, it can feel like that information changes with each day of the week.  That’s why connecting with dietitians like Emily Bullard can help.

In this short video, she explains that it isn’t really the type of fat but the overall quality of the diet that matters.  Guess this means Mom’s advice about everything in moderation is true.  I’ll have to call and let her know she was right after all.
