I’m not sure when it started. I can’t put my finger on it, but somewhere along the way I began to hear the phrase “strengthening your core.”
Maybe it happened when yoga and Pilates came back into fashion. Or, maybe it was there all along and I just wasn’t ready to absorb it.
Regardless, more and more health benefits are being chalked up to building a strong core. But what is a “core?” Turns out, it’s anything located between your shoulders and your pelvic floor.
